Crime: Lacrosse Coaches Fight, Several Cars Stolen and More

The following are some of the recent incidents in Alexandria's West End as reported by the Alexandria Police Department.

June 30

5:30 p.m. – An assault occurred between coaches of rival teams at a lacrosse tournament that was being played in the 1000 block of St. Stephens Road.

July 1

4:26 a.m. – A person reported an unknown suspect (or suspects) entered his hotel room through an unlocked sliding glass door and stole his iPad, two camcorders and his car keys in the 5000 block of Seminary Road.

July 2

10:16 a.m. – A person reported she inadvertently left her Kindle at the restaurant at this location and when she returned to retrieve it the Kindle was gone. The report was made in the 500 block of South Van Dorn Street.

2:42 p.m. – A person reported an unknown suspect (or suspects) used his social security card to fraudulently charge medical bills. The report was made in the 300 block of Yoakum Parkway.

7:51 p.m. – Police responded to three reports of larceny and one fraud in the 4300 block of King Street.

July 3

3:21 p.m. – A person reported a motor vehicle theft in the 100 block of South Pickett Street.

4:58 p.m. – A person reported a motor vehicle theft in the 600 block of South Pickett Street.

July 5

8:13 a.m. – A person reported a motor vehicle theft in the 5700 block of Dunster Court.

10:46 a.m. – A person reported a motor vehicle theft in the 5700 block of Merton Court.

July 6

2:25 a.m. – A person was arrested for public drunkenness in the 100 block of South Bragg Street.

July 7

12:44 a.m. – A person was arrested for public drunkenness in the 4600 block of Brenman Park Drive.
