I-395 Overnight Lane Closures Planned At Edsall Road

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Drivers on I-395 will encounter lane closures on four nights this week in the Alexandria/Springfield area, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The overnight lane closures will happen on northbound I-395 at Esdall Road/Route 648. Each night from Monday to Thursday, the left two lanes will close at 10 p.m., and the left three lanes will be closed as of 11 p.m. Complete stoppages up to 20 minutes each will happen between midnight and 4 a.m. The lane closures will end by 5 a.m. each day. Edsall Road interchange exit ramps will remain open.

The lane closures are due to bridge painting work, according to VDOT. Drivers are urged to use caution in active work zones.
