Threat Likely Not Credible At Alexandria High School, Students Dismissed
Students were dismissed at four Alexandria City High School locations after secure the building status due to a threat investigation.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria City High School campuses were under secure the building status Tuesday morning as a threat was investigated. Students were dismissed, and a normal school day is expected Wednesday.
The secure the building status applied to the King Street, Minnie Howard, Satellite and Chance for Change campuses. The Alexandria City Public Schools central office was also under secure the building status due to the presence of the Chance for Change campus.
The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a "reported threat of violence," according to ACPS. Police officers responded to all four campuses. The threat is not believed to be credible, and normal operations are expected Wednesday at the high school campuses and ACPS central office.
