All Milwaukee Public Schools Closed Due To 'Extreme Cold'

Wind chills of 20 below to 34 below zero are expected across the Milwaukee metro area, the National Weather Service said.

MILWAUKEE — Due to the "extremely cold temperatures," all schools in the Milwaukee Public Schools District will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 16. The district's recreation and extracurricular activities will be canceled as well.

Meanwhile, all Central Services and Administrative Buildings will be open, and all 12-month administrative employees should report to their work site, the district said.

A wind chill advisory is in effect Tuesday morning. Wind chills of 20 below to 34 below zero are expected across the Milwaukee metro area, the National Weather Service said.
