National Avenue Off-Ramp From I-43 North Closes After Semi Overturns
A semi carrying a load of scrap metal overturned causing a closure for the National Avenue off-ramp from Interstate 43, authorities said.
MILWAUKEE, WI — The off-ramp to National Avenue from the northbound lanes of Interstate 43 closed Monday after a semi overturned, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said via Twitter just before 11 a.m.
The semi was carrying a full load of scrap metal, the sheriff's office said, so motorists can expect the closure "to be lengthy, given the payload and cleanup."
Authorities did not have any immediate word on possible injuries.
