MILWAUKEE, WI — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages, on the field or court, at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Adea Dunn who nominated her brother Keith of Milwaukee.

How do you know the star local student?

Brother

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Despite the stereotypes of the zip code you live in or come from and absent fathers in homes, Keith continues to excel academically, professionally and in sports. Keith lives with his father and grew up in the 53206 zip code which in some communities is uncommon. He’s on the National Honors Society and ranks No. 3 in baseball and football. He finds time to volunteer whenever needed, in public and with family.

He is well known for his humble spirit around Waukesha where he attends Catholic Memorial High School. Keith continues to use all his skills and talents searching for a school opportunity in aerospace engineering.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Keith is multi-talented with a strong drive to excel despite any adversity.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Keith!
