Tornado Watch For Central And Southern WI: NWS
A tornado watch was issued for 51 counties in Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, Waukesha and Green Bay, according to national forecasters.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Multiple counties in southern, central and southeast Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, Waukesha and Green Bay, are under a tornado watch on Wednesday afternoon, the National Weather Service reported.
A total of 51 counties across central, southern, southeast and northeast Wisconsin are under a tornado watch as of 2:25 p.m., a national tornado watch page showed.
The Milwaukee area is on the edge of an "Enhanced" threat zone for severe weather, including damaging winds and tornadoes, as of 12:24 p.m., forecasters said.

Much of central Wisconsin, specifically the area northwest of Madison, is under a heightened risk for high winds and tornadoes around 3 p.m., national forecasters said. Much of Waukesha County is under an "Enhanced" risk of severe storms, while much of the southeast shore of Lake Michigan is under "Slight" risk, a weather map showed.
A line of severe thunderstorms will move across southern Wisconsin late afternoon through evening Wednesday, forecasters said. Forecasters gave a "Moderate" risk to most of south-central Wisconsin and parts of east-central Wisconsin for severe storms.

The greatest threat for significant severe storms will be north and west of the Milwaukee metro area, forecasters added.
The atmosphere will remain primed for severe weather in parts of the central and eastern U.S. this week, and a large portion of the Heartland from central Iowa to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan will be at the greatest risk for damaging thunderstorms this week, AccuWeather reported.
Most thunderstorm activity in Central and Eastern states has been on the periphery of a large dome of hot air over the Mississippi Valley and Plains, AccuWeather reported.

Wausau, Rhinelander and La Crosse, will be in the middle of the tornado and high wind threat on Wednesday, AccuWeather reported.
