Wisconsin Connections Academy Students Enjoy Milwaukee Zoo Field Trip

Over 150 students and families with Wisconsin Connections Academy enjoyed an exciting field trip at the Milwaukee Zoo on Thursday, October 10. As one of the country’s finest zoological attractions, the Milwaukee County Zoo educated, entertained, and inspired students. It was one of the school’s largest field trips!

Students visited over 3,100 mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, and reptiles in specialized habitats spanning 190 wooded acres. They also had the chance to explore educational wildlife shows and fun attractions.

Wisconsin Connections Academy students in grades 4K through 12 across the state of Wisconsin have many opportunities throughout the year to make new friends and explore their passions while being a part of the Connections Academy community. The statewide, tuition-free online public school aims to foster student engagement and relationship building within its tight-knit community of staff, students and families. Wisconsin Connections Academy is committed to this education experience as the school introduces an array of new clubs and field trips catering to the diverse interests of students.

Connecting with other students at school and in the local community is a big part of what makes Wisconsin Connections Academy so enriching. Children from all over the state love all the opportunities they have to make new friends and explore their passions. From historical sites to zoos, museums, the great outdoors and so much more, Wisconsin Connections Academy’s students can go on adventures alongside their fellow students, exploring, learning and having fun together on school trips.

Many students also find that Wisconsin Connections Academy’s flexible schedule gives them the opportunity to play sports, pursue art, volunteer or do anything else they enjoy in their community.
