2 Carlsbad Unified High Schools Earn AP School Honor Roll Accolades

Carlsbad High School and Sage Creek High School​ received awards.

CARLSBAD, CA — Two Carlsbad Unified School District high schools that offer Advanced Placement courses were recently recognized by the College Board as AP School Honor Roll 2022-23 Recipients.

Carlsbad High School and Sage Creek High School received awards.

The College Board's AP Program enables students to pursue college-level studies with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement or both while still in high school.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools that increase college-going culture, provide opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximize college readiness. The recognition offers four levels of distinction: platinum, gold, silver and bronze. Schools on the AP School Honor Roll may also earn the AP Access Award, which honors schools that demonstrate a commitment to equitable access to advanced coursework.

Sage Creek High School earned gold with access and Carlsbad High School received bronze.

A total of 4,570 schools — representing 30 percent of all eligible high schools in the U.S. — earned recognition for their work creating AP programs that are delivering results for students while broadening access, according to the College Board.
