Blooming 2024 Season Extended At The Flower Fields At Carlsbad Ranch

CARLSBAD, CA — The colorful flowers at The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch will stay open to the public a little longer this year.

The 2024 season was set to end on Mother's Day but will now run through May 19, the team at The Flower Fields announced Sunday.

The Flower Fields feature rows and rows of giant tecolote ranunculus, a flower known for its large, double-petaled blooms that sit atop tall, straight stems.

"It's a rare occurrence, but thanks to Mother Nature and her cooler spring weather, it has extended our blooming season," the ranch said in a statement.

The Sea of Sunflowers, which features all colors, shapes and sizes of sunflowers, is also in bloom in the ranch's northern fields.

Other attractions include the American Flag of Flowers, gardens and aviaries, tractor wagon rides, sweet pea maze, poinsettia display, Carlsbad Mining Company, Santa's Playground and more.

The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through May 19. Extended season tickets are now on sale. Discounted tickets cost $13 for adults, $11 for seniors and military, and $4 for children ages 3-10. Admission is free for children under 3.

The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch is located at 5704 Paseo Del Norte in Carlsbad.
