City of Carlsbad Announces Bike Safety Classes
Class attendees will learn about bike and e-bike safety and earn a certificate for school bike permit programs.
CARLSBAD, CA — The Carlsbad Police Department will be holding a bike safety class designed to teach attendees the best way to be safe while riding on city streets and roadways.
Carlsbad PD took to X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter to make the announcement.

Class attendees will learn about bike and e-bike safety and earn a certificate for school bike permit programs, Carlsbad PD said.

"We’ll discuss tips for being safe on your bike or e-bike, rules of the road for bicyclists and drivers and Carlsbad-specific e-bike laws," the department said.
Space is limited for the Nov. 4 event scheduled from 1-2 p.m. at the Stagecoach Community Center & Park at 3420 Camino de los Coches. The class is only open to students at schools in Carlsbad, Carlsbad PD said.

Registration, which can be done online here, is required and closes at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, Carlsbad PD said.
