Eggstravaganza Spring Festival Coming Back To Carlsbad
The annual spring event, which is the city's largest egg hunt, is scheduled March 30 at Poinsettia Community Park.
CARLSBAD, CA — The Eggstravaganza Spring Festival is coming back to Carlsbad.
The annual spring event, which is the city's largest egg hunt, will feature an ongoing egg scramble, where children race to collect candy-filled eggs.
There will be one field designated for children ages 6 and older and another field for children ages 5 and younger, according to the city. There will also be a noncompetitive field for young children, children with special needs, and for families wanting to pose for photos.

The event will also feature crafts, cookie decorating, face painting, crafts, a fun zone and more. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
To avoid lines during the event, $5 activity cards and $5 unlimited inflatables wristbands can be purchased in advance at city community centers. The cards can be divided among multiple children for all the activities, but wristbands are per person, according to the city. Both can be purchased from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the following locations:

The Eggstravaganza Spring Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 30 at Poinsettia Community Park at 6600 Hidden Valley Road. The egg scramble is slated from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or until eggs run out.
