Halloween Spooktacular Returns With More Treats To The Forum Carlsbad
This year's event will feature additional entertainment for kids, including carnival games and an interactive magician.

CARLSBAD, CA — Children can celebrate Halloween early this year at The Forum Carlsbad.
The outdoor shopping mall's signature family-friendly fall event returns Oct. 28. There will be trick-or-treating through participating retailers and restaurants as well as strolling spooky characters.
This year, the event will feature additional entertainment for kids, including carnival games and an interactive magician in The Garden Area, said Trish Pruitt, senior marketing director at Northwood Retail, which operates The Forum Carlsbad. The first 1,000 children will also receive a complimentary Halloween bucket to collect their treats.

Although The Forum Carlsbad changed the event name to Halloween Spooktacular last year, the outdoor shopping mall has hosted an event for Halloween for years, Pruitt said.
"We have hosted trick-or-treating for a long time," Pruitt told Patch.

"The Forum Carlsbad enjoys bringing the community together and offering families a safe area to trick-or-treat while hosting the event during an earlier timeframe that is suitable for younger children," Pruitt said. "In addition, our stores and restaurants love being able to participate in this event and getting to know the people within the community they serve."
Halloween Spooktacular will take place from 2-6 p.m. Oct. 28 at The Forum Carlsbad at 1923 Calle Barcelona.
