CARLSBAD, CA — A website, that offers residents up to four, free at-home COVID-19 tests per household, was restarted after the Biden administration announced last month that it will provide hundreds of millions of dollars to help produce the new test kits.

The website is currently active, and the tests will be delivered free via the U.S. Postal Service. Click this link to order.

The site will remain online for orders through the holidays, according to Dawn O'Connell, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services assistant secretary for preparedness and response.

"If there is a demand for these tests, we want to make sure that they're made available to the American people for free in this way," O'Connell said. "But, at this point, our focus is getting through the holidays and making sure folks can take a test if they're going to see Grandma for Thanksgiving."

Twelve manufacturers across seven states were awarded the funding to produce the over-the-counter tests.
