Legoland California Launches Nation's First Lego World Parade

"This landmark parade feels even more celebratory as we honor Legoland California Resort's 25th birthday this year."

CARLSBAD, CA — The country's first Lego World Parade has officially launched at Legoland California Resort.

The parade, which debuted Friday, features a variety of Lego-themed floats and entertainers through the west side of the Carlsbad-based theme park.

"Surrounded by a whirlwind of streamers and waving flags, we proudly launched the nation's inaugural Lego World Parade at Legoland California today," said Kurt Stocks, president of Legoland California Resort.

"This landmark parade feels even more celebratory as we honor Legoland California Resort's 25th birthday this year," he said. "Every float tells a story and every step along the way ignites imagination. The parade is the perfect finale to a day spent riding, climbing, splashing, and building through our 60+ rides, shows and attractions."

The parade, which will run all summer long, offers an array of Lego-themed floats including a Lego City firetruck and a pirate ship, as well as floats inspired by Lego Ninjago, Lego Friends, Lego City Deep Sea Adventure and Lego Duplo. The parade also has a cast of five costume characters and more than 50 entertainers who dance and march along the parade route.
