Legoland California To Open All-New Dino Valley Land On March 22

The Carlsbad-based theme park broke the world record for the largest dinosaur costume party ahead of the opening of Dino Valley.

CARLSBAD, CA — Legoland California Resort has officially announced the opening date of Dino Valley.

The all-new land is set to open March 22 at the Carlsbad-based theme park. To celebrate the announcement, the theme park made history over the weekend by breaking the record for the largest dinosaur costume party in the world, according to Legoland.

A total of 1,273 people dressed in dinosaur costumes Saturday at Legoland, where Lego T-Rex guy made an appearance alongside the Legoland brass band. A new Dino Valley costume character, Paleontologist Girl, was also unveiled for the first time.

Visitors can keep the dinosaur party going in Dino Valley all year long.

Located near the entrance of the park, Dino Valley will feature three rides, an interactive build-and-play area, and character meet and greets. The rides will include four-seater ride Duplo Little Dino Trail, river expedition Explorer River Quest, and rollercoaster Coastersaurus.
