Legoland Unveils Lego Stegosaurus Model Ahead Of Dino Valley Opening

CARLSBAD, CA — In anticipation of an all-new land opening this spring, Legoland California Resort recently unveiled a massive Lego Stegosaurus model.

Set to be part of Dino Valley, the staggering Stegosaurus model is fully animated and features more than 119,000 Lego elements, according to the Carlsbad-based theme park.

A team of master model builders spent 495 hours crafting the dinosaur, which stretches over 11 feet long and weighs 672 pounds. The Lego Stegosaurus, slated to be part of Dino Valley's Explorer River Quest ride, is the first of 17 Lego models that will bring the theme park's newest land to life when it opens this spring.

Located near the entrance of the park, Dino Valley will feature three rides, a reimagined Dino Dig area, and character meet and greets. The rides will include four-seater ride Duplo Little Dino Trail, river expedition Explorer River Quest, and rollercoaster Coastersaurus.
