New Driving School Attractions Open At Legoland California Resort

CARLSBAD, CA — Engines are once again revving at Legoland California Resort. New Driving Schools opened Wednesday at the Carlsbad-based theme park.

Legoland closed the attractions in September to reopen the reimagined Driving Schools in a new location.

"We are absolutely thrilled to officially launch the new Driving Schools at Legoland California Resort," said Kurt Stocks, president of Legoland California Resort.

"These have been beloved attractions for generations, and these updates bring a fresh, engaging experience for our next generation of drivers," Stocks said. "There is no other driving experience like this for young children, and seeing them take the wheel for the first time is truly what a Legoland experience is all about."

Located in Fun Town across from the recently announced indoor coaster opening in 2026, the new Driving School tracks feature realistic road scenarios, intersections, roundabouts, and even a car wash equipped with interactive bubble triggers that activate as kids drive through, according to Legoland.

To celebrate the opening, children ages 3-13 have the opportunity to get a commemorative Legoland driver's license after completing the new course at both Driving School, designed for children ages 6 to 13, as well as Jr. Driving School, geared for kids ages 3 to 5.

These commemorative licenses are adorned with a Legoland-style REAL ID star and will be available for kids during the month-long celebration of the new attractions. Families can also meet and greet the new Lego Race Car Driver and get roadside bites and treats.
