Original 'Charlie Brown' Voice Actor, Peter Robbins, Dead At 65
The Carlsbad resident was the first actor to voice the "Peanuts" character.

CARLSBAD, CA — Peter Robbins, a Carlsbad resident and the original voice actor of "Peanuts" character Charlie Brown, has died. He was 65.
"Robbins' family said he took his own life last week," Fox 5 San Diego reported.
Robbins started voicing Charlie Brown in 1963. He appeared in several animated specials including "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."

Robbins was born on Aug. 10, 1956, in Los Angeles. He graduated from the University of California, San Diego, in 1979.
A memorial service will be held at a future date, Fox 5 reported.
