Pet Adoption Day Event Slated At Carlsbad Gelson's Store

CARLSBAD, CA — National Pet Day is April 11 and National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day is April 30. Gelson's is celebrating by partnering with local animal rescue organizations to host pet adoption events at its grocery stores.

Gelson's Carlsbad has partnered with Amazing Dogs, an organization that works to rescue dogs on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. Gelson's Pacific Beach will co-host its event with Animal Rescue Resource Foundation, which works to rescue domestic animals and match them with their forever homes.

Both events will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 9. Community members will be able to meet, play with and adopt animals.

Gelson's Carlsbad is at 7660 El Camino Real in Carlsbad. Gelson's Pacific Beach is at 730 Turquoise St. in San Diego.
