Golden Tee Won't Be Trading Golf Clubs For Big Macs Any Time Soon

Golden Tee Golfland Staff told Castro Valley Patch that a rumor of the mini golf course being sold to McDonald's is completely false.

A recent report from a Castro Valley Patch reader stating that was being sold to McDonald's proved to be completely false according to the mini golf course's staff.

Golden Tee Golfland , located at 2533 Castro Valley Blvd., has been around Castro Valley since the early 1960s — longer than McDonald's has according to staffmember Andre Crane.

Staff said business has been doing well, especially in the summer when kids are off from school.

"We definitely don't need a company like McDonald's to help us out in any way," said emplyoee Richard Meyer.

Manager Bob Anthon said the local business is still owned by its original owners who don't plan on selling it to the golden arches or any other corporation anytime soon.

But he did have one request:

"We want to know if we can get free egg McMuffins if that happens."
