Culver City Lauded For Financial-Report Accessibility
The city earned high marks on its efforts to make its financial picture understandable to the public.

CULVER CITY, CA — The city recently won two awards in recognition of making its financial information accessible to the public.
The Government Finance Officers Association for the second year in a row honored Culver City with the award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting. The award is issued by the organization based on the assessment of a panel of judges who evaluated the city's 2022-23 fiscal year annual comprehensive report for reader appeal, understandability, distribution methods, creativity and more, according to a city release.
"Culver City continues to make our finances transparent and accessible to all stakeholders with its Popular Annual Financial Report," said Mayor Yasmine-Imani McMorrin. "For second year, we’ve won this award that acknowledges our effort to find ways to responsibly spend taxpayer money that everyone can understand and provide opportunity for continued community participation in our budgetary process"
