CULVER CITY, CA — A popular Culver City playground has shut down as officials ready to replace it with a newer facility — and they're looking for resident input.

The El Marino Park playground was closed last week and is slated for removal. "Parks, Recreation & Community Services will use this opportunity to not only replace and upgrade the existing equipment, but also add in several new sensory and accessible elements to provide a more equitable space for all to enjoy," reads a release.

Officials are inviting community members to a meeting on April 23 to discuss design options for the new playground. The meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the El Marino Park building, 5301 Berryman Ave.
