Culver City Selects New Mayor And Vice Mayor

Culver City welcomed a new Mayor and Vice Mayor, as well as two new city council members​ on Monday.

CULVER CITY, CA — Culver City welcomed a new Mayor and Vice Mayor, as well as two new city council members on Monday.

At the Dec. 12 transition meeting, Albert Vera was elected as the new Mayor and Yasmine-Imani McMorrin was elected as Vice Mayor and will serve in those positions for one year. Dan O'Brien and Freddy Puza were also welcomed as new city council members as they were elected to office in the November primary.

"It's a tremendous honor to be here before you as Mayor of Culver City," Vera said. "Having lived my life here, it's almost a dream come true to lead our wonderful City, as one of its proudest citizens."

Members of the community said goodbye to outgoing Mayor Daniel Lee and outgoing councilmember Alex Fisch who said they were both appreciative for their time spent serving the community.
