Screenland 5K Returns To Culver City This Weekend

CULVER CITY, CA — The Screenland 5K returns this weekend with a full lineup of events Saturday and Sunday.

The festivities begin Saturday morning with a health and fitness expo, among other events, and the race kicks off Sunday morning with a route that follows the 100 Points of Motion Picture Magic.

Here's a rundown of the events:

Olympic Saturday at Ivy Station

• 1 p.m. — Health & Fitness Expo: packet pickup, activities, onsite registration (if available)
• 2 p.m. — Olympic Torch Relay
• 2:30 p.m. — Celebrity Charity Trike Race heats
• 4 p.m. — Expo ends

Race Day Sunday at Ivy Station

• 5 a.m. — Streets closed to all vehicular traffic
• 7 a.m. — Play Streets: Recreate on car-free streets until 8:50 am
• 7:30 a.m. — Health & Fitness Expo: Packet pickup, activities, onsite registration (if avail.)
• 8:15 a.m. — DJ Mel & Community Flashmob Barbie Macarena
• 9 a.m. — Costume Contest
• 9:15 a.m. — Olympic Torch Relay final leg
• 9:20 a.m. — Screenland 5K
• 10:15 a.m. — Munchkin Dash & Celebrity Charity Trike Race finals
• 10:40 a.m. — Awards Ceremony: Overall and Masters Champions. Age group awards in 5 year increments, team competitions
• 11:30 a.m. — Expo ends. Streets reopen.
