Driver Who Hit Healdsburg Bicyclist, 80, Sought By Police
Police say an elderly man riding a bicycle was knocked unconscious Wednesday in an alleged hit-and-run.

HEALDSBURG, CA — Healdsburg police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck an 80-year-old man riding a bicycle Wednesday afternoon. Police responded around 3:10 p.m. to the hit-and-run at the
intersection of Matheson and University streets, Detective Will Van Vleck said. The bicyclist was struck from behind and knocked unconscious, and was taken to Healdsburg District Hospital, police said.
The vehicle that fled was an older-model red car with the passenger side mirror broken off. Witnesses at the scene were too flustered to provide information about the driver, Van Vleck said.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Healdsburg police at 707-431-3377.
