Healdsburg Police To Host National Night Out
The family-friendly event will include complimentary hot dogs, popcorn and dessert—and a courageous police representative in the dunk tank.

HEALDSBURG, CA — The Healdsburg Police Department invites residents to join them Tuesday for National Night Out at Plaza Park.
The family-friendly event begins at 6 p.m. and coincides with Tuesday Concerts In the Plaza. Guests can enjoy complimentary popcorn, cookies, bundt cakes and pan dulce. Plus, get a free hotdog from Vamos (while supplies last).
There will also be face-painting and the opportunity to meet officers and dispatchers. The Healdsburg Police Officers Association will give out school supplies to students who are on hand.

The big star of the night will be Healdsburg police Chief Matt Jenkins who will be in a dunk tank trying to stay dry.
Since 1984, National Night Out has been held annually on the first Tuesday of August. To date, some 17,000 communities across the United States have signed on for the event. In California, Healdsburg is one of 365 participating cities.

"The best way to build a safer community is to know your neighbors and your surroundings," said Kay Bailey Hutchison, a former U.S. senator. "National Night Out triumphs over a culture that isolates us from each other and allows us to rediscover our own communities."
