Scott Keneally Reveals All in "Tough Mudder Hates Me"
Free event is Saturday, Dec. 15 at Garagiste in Healdsburg.

Healdsburg writer Scott Keneally, who authored an investigative piece on the Tough Mudder extreme obstacle course sport craze in the November issue of Outside magazine, will give the inside track on his experiences at a free event Saturday on Healdsburg.
The event begins at 5 p.m. at the Garagiste tasting room at 439 Healdsburg Ave.

Keneally, a former Press Democrat correspondent, also was the subject of a Bohemian cover article on the Tough Mudder fad earlier this fall.
Press Democrat writer Elizabeth Cosin previewed Saturday's event in the newspaper this week.

A local spinoff of Tough Mudder, the took place in October in Healdsburg. Although the run was highly successful, some of the runners developed a rash thought to be Swimmer's Itch.
Organizers of the event say they will do extensive testing next year to determine the cause of the ailment and to eliminate its source from the race grounds.
