Woman Killed in Todd Road Crash ID'd As Healdsburg Resident

Selena Maria Figueroa was a passenger in the car that struck a tree.

The Sonoma County coroner's office has identified a woman who died in a crash south of Santa Rosa on Friday as 33-year-old Selena Maria Figueroa, of Healdsburg.

Figueroa was a passenger in a Mazda Miata driven by Emile Smith, 33, of Sebastopol, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on Todd Road just west of Stony Point Road shortly after 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Smith was driving east when the Mazda drifted off the south side
of the road and the passenger side of the car struck a tree, CHP officials
said.

Figueroa was extricated by firefighters and taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. A coroner's office spokeswoman said she died at the hospital around 2 a.m. Saturday.

Smith also was injured in the crash, according to the CHP.
