Construction Begins In Napa On 3 New Roundabouts
Caltrans officials said people should expect traffic delays during the construction of the roundabouts.

NAPA, CA — Caltrans crews began construction Monday on three roundabouts in Napa as part of a partnership with the city and the Napa Valley Transportation Authority. One roundabout will be constructed at the intersection of the off-ramp from northbound state Highway 29 and First Street. Another will be built at the intersection of First Street and California Boulevard, and the third will be placed at the intersection of Second Street and California Boulevard.
According to Caltrans, the sidewalks around the roundabouts will be displaced and crossing lights will be installed to improve pedestrian mobility.
"Roundabouts provide critical solutions to two major transportation needs: easing traffic congestion and improving public safety," Caltrans District 4 director Tony Tavares said in a statement.
