Cross-Country Meets Prompt Berlin Dog Park Closures

BERLIN, CT — Dog lovers will have to find another place to take Fido this week, with scholastic cross-country meets prompting the closure of the town's leash-free dog area.

According to the Town of Berlin, the leash-free area at Pistol Creek, located at 600 Spruce Brook Road, will be closed so schoolchildren can run.

The park will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 27, Thursday, Sept. 29, and Friday, Sept. 30, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. for middle school cross-country meets.
