Farmington Memorial Day Parade To Honor Sacrifices

The town's annual Memorial Day Parade steps off at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 27.

FARMINGTON, CT — The local community Monday, May 27, will remember the sacrifice of local veterans at the town's annual Memorial Day Parade.

The parade will form at 9:30 a.m. at the corner of New Britain Avenue and South Main Street, stepping off at 10 a.m.

After winding its way through multiple streets, it concludes at Alice Clover Pinney Memorial Park, 173 School St., Unionville.

Bands, veterans, and other local organizations will participate in the annual event, with veterans of all backgrounds being sought to march.

One unique aspect of Farmington's parade is that the route alternates years.

While 2024's event will follow a route through the Unionville section of town, 2025's event will take place over a route in Farmington's Main Street.

Meanwhile, all town offices and public schools will be closed on Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.
