I-84 Closed In Farmington For Police Activity

FARMINGTON, CT — A section of Interstate 84 is closed in Farmington are police engage in "police activity," according to the state Department of Transportation.

I-84 East, according to the state, was closed between exits 37 and 39 due to "police activity."

The situation was first reported at 5:18 p.m. and it is "unknown" when it will be cleared.

This situation is on the same highway where a state trooper was killed Thursday afternoon by a hit-and-run driver in nearby Southington, but it is unclear if this is related to that matter.
