Major Road Project Starts Monday, Aug. 5, In Farmington

Lane closures and slow-going traffic are expected in a busy section of Farmington roadway.

FARMINGTON, CT — Road work is scheduled at the corner of High Street and Route 4 from Monday, Aug. 5, through Wednesday, Aug. 14.

As a result, traffic is expected to be impacted between 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. during that duration, town officials said.

This will require the closure of the right lane on Route 4 heading east towards the jug handle from the Bank of America building (781 Farmington Ave.) to just past the Berkshire Bank (763 Farmington Ave.)

Additionally, the right-turn lane will be closed on High Street for the duration of the project.

Police Traffic control will be present.

Motorists are being asked to seek alternate routes of travel.
