Traffic Meltdown At Busy Farmington Intersection Over: UPDATE

FARMINGTON, CT — A broken traffic light in a busy part of town caused a traffic meltdown, with motorists urged to be patient, but the situation has now been resolved.

According to the Town of Farmington, the intersection of Farmington Avenue (Route 4) and Brickyard Road was experiencing major traffic delays due to a traffic light outage.

Drivers were urged to use caution in the area and consider alternate routes if possible.
At about noon, the Town of Farmington said the traffic light outage was fixed and the intersection was "fully operational."
