Driver Killed As Car, Dump Truck Collide In Glastonbury Friday
Police Friday were investigating a fatal crash on Keeney Street near the Glastonbury-Manchester line.

GLASTONBURY, CT β A collision between a car and dump truck in Glastonbury Friday turned fatal, police said.
At 10:36 a.m. Friday, police, firefighters and emergency medical crews responded to a head-on collision on Keeney Street between Old Reservoir Road and Woodfield Crossing.
Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that a sedan traveling north on Keeney Street crossed the center line and struck a dump truck/ pulling a trailer.

The woman driving the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. She was the only occupant of the car, police said.
The truck driver was not injured, police said.

Officers from Metro Traffic Services regional reconstruction team, the Connecticut State Police Traffic Unit, as well as members of the Glastonbury Police Traffic Unit responded to process the scene and Keened Street re-opened at about 4 p.m.
Identification of the woman who died was being withheld Friday afternoon, pending
notification of next of kin, police said.
