Police Identify Pedestrian Involved In Glastonbury Fatal Crash

GLASTONBURY, CT — The pedestrian who was in a collision with a vehicle Saturday in Glastonbury has died, police said.

Police said they were notified by the the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner that the pedestrian died as a result on injuries in the crash.

The pedestrian was 61-year-old Phillip Burleson of Glastonbury, police said.

A preliminary investigation determined that, at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Burleson was crossing Glastonbury Boulevard from north to south with several other people and was struck by a vehicle traveling west on Glastonbury Boulevard, police said.

The driver of the vehicle had remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, which remains active, police said.

The investigation remains active and no additional details are being released, police said.
