Town Of Glastonbury: Sand/Salt Mix Available For Driveway And Pathway Clearing

With snow in the forecast for today, 12/2, Glastonbury community members are reminded that the Town has four (4) locations where RESIDENTS can obtain a sand/salt mixture free of charge for help with treating driveways, sidewalks, and walkways. See the map below for locations. (Residential properties only. No commercial use.)

Property owners are required to clear snow from the sidewalks on their property. The Glastonbury Fire Department also asks residents to please clear snow from/around fire hydrants in a timely manner after each snow event. Firefighters need access to roughly 1 foot of space below the hydrant valve and another 2 feet of space all around a fire hydrant, so please clear your neighborhood hydrants accordingly. A few minutes of effort may later prove vital to your/your neighbors’ safety!
