(Kunstraum) Dada Post was an artist-run organization, founded in January 2008, by Howard McCalebb in Berlin, Germany. In 2022 Mr. McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. Mr. McCalebb is a sculptor and active figure on the international art scene. Dada Post USA is an autonomous space for the production, display and discussion of current art. Foremost, we contemplate artistic expression from the standpoint of pure inspiration emanating from the source – the artist. We are keenly interested in the effects of Globalization on art practice, and the notion of a hybridized Post Modern art practice. As a contemporary art space, Dada Post USA is primarily concerned with artwork that is the most current, reflecting the actual meaning of the term: Contemporary Art. We offer a program of exhibitions and events, featuring videos, poetry/literary readings, music and other live performances, during and between art exhibitions. The original inspiration for both (Kunstraum) Dada Post and Dada Post USA was the Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich, Switzerland and Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York City – which were open venues for impromptu gatherings, events, and artistic experimentation. Morelli, 71, of Norwich passed away on December 13, 2023 at his home. Beloved brother of Judith "Judy" Morelli of East Haven. Richard was born in New Haven on August 12, 1952 son of the late Joseph and Catherine Vergati Morelli. He attended Assumption University and was involved with their Alumni Association. Richard earned an MBA from New York University and was a CPA. Prior to his retirement, Richard worked for the Chelsea Groton Savings Bank for 30 years as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Richard was a member of the Norwich Pension Board, NFA Foundation and Maplewood Cemetery Board. He was an avid golfer and big Yankees and Giants fan.His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven MONDAY morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call MONDAY MORNING from 8:30 to 9:30. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
