Police: 'Feisty', 'Drunk' Rocky Hill Woman Tried To Strike Cop

23-year-old Erica Foley has since been arrested.

A Rocky Hill woman described by police as "combative", drunk and "very feisty" was arrested this week after she allegedly tried to strike a cop.

On Tuesday, at 4:43 a.m., police were called and asked to remove Erica Foley, 23, of Rocky Hill, from her boyfriend's Cromwell home, according to The Middletown Press. When the police arrived, Foley, who was allegedly intoxicated, was "combative and yelling at officers," according to the newspaper. Later, she tried to hit a police officer, but the police officer "was able to parry the blow and take Ms. Foley to the ground," according to a police report obtained by The Middletown Press.

Foley was later charged with criminal attempt to commit assault on a police officer, a felony, and interfering with an officer, a misdemeanor. She was released from custody with a promise to appear. Her next court date is Aug. 27 at Middletown Superior Court.
