Rollover Accident Causes Serious Injury In Rocky Hill: Police

A driver on I-91 North hit a metal beam, causing his car to roll over. He was sent to the hospital with suspected serious injuries.

ROCKY HILL, CT — A driver was transported to Hartford Hospital after his car rolled over a metal beam guide rail on I-91 Northbound Wednesday evening.

Just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Maxwell Coddington, 23, of Rocky Hill was driving between exit 22 and 23 on I-91 North in Rocky Hill when he lost control of his car and hit a metal beam guide rail off the highway's right shoulder, state police said.

Coddington's car, a 2007 Toyota Camry, rolled over. He was taken to the hospital with what police suspected were serious injuries.

It's unknown why Coddington lost control of his car, and the accident is currently under investigation.
