Annual Commemoration of the Four Chaplains of WWII
The World War II Legacy Foundation invites everyone to join us for our 1st Annual Commemoration of the Four Chaplains of WWII. The event takes place on February 9, 2025 at 2:00 pm. in the Friends Meeting Room of the South Windsor Public Library at 1550 Sullivan Ave. South Windsor, CT.
On February 3, 1943, the troop transport ship, SS Dorchester, was torpedoed by a German submarine and sunk in the icy waters of the North Atlantic. The Four Chaplains gave their life jackets, and lives, trying to save and comfort the servicemen on board. Join us in remembering and honoring their service. There will be a brief service followed by a documentary and presentation of their story. This is a free event, refreshments served. For more information, call (860) 810-8736.
