SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Clark University, Worcester MA

  • Two students from South Windsor were named to the fall 2024 Dean's List. Devon E. Kevetos was named to first honors, and Astro D. Gopal was named to second honors. Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors, or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.

Goodwin University, East Hartford CT

  • Goodwin University's President's List for the fall 2024 session includes 266 students, all of who scored a perfect 4.0 GPA. Among them are South Windsor residents Sarah Davis, Kyrsten Humphreys, Ryan Will, Victoire Will and Thera Debella.
  • South Windsor residents Pamela Gakeva, Jenny Diaz and Tatyana Harris achieved Dean's List status for the fall 2024 session. Dean's List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify.

New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury NY

  • Arhana Avinash Naik of South Windsor was named to the fall 2024 Presidential Honor List at New York Institute of Technology. To qualify for this academic achievement, Naik achieved an impressive GPA during the fall 2024 semester.

Salve Regina University, Newport RI

  • Christina Bellizzi, Olivia Liegl and Nicholas Passacantando, all of South Windsor, were named to the Dean's List during the fall 2024 academic semester at Salve Regina University. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 for full-time students completing at least 12 graded credits, or a semester grade point average of 3.8 for part-time students completing at least six credits.

Seton Hall University, South Orange NJ

  • Ryan Korah and Melissa Murdoch, both of South Windsor, qualified for the fall 2024 Dean's List. After the close of every semester, undergraduate students completing all courses with a GPA of 3.4, with no grades lower than "C", qualify for the Dean's List.

State University of New York, Cortland NY

  • Grace Reed of South Windsor was among the 1,051 students named to the President's List at SUNY Cortland for the fall 2024 semester. Reed is studying exercise science. To qualify for the President's List, students must earn a grade of A- or better in each of their classes while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Tufts University, Medford MA

  • Tufts University recently announced the dean's list for the fall 2024 semester, including two members of the Class of2026 from South Windsor: Maya Lagasse and Alejandro Recio. Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

  • 23 students from South Windsor earned placement on the President's List or Dean's List for the fall 2024 semester. Making both lists were Alyssa Attenello, Rally Bryan, Samuel Czaja, Seth Egnasko, Dylian Erwin, Ahmed Gadit, Megan Kratz, Adrian Le, Vrishab Murali, Mariella Novo, Ava West and Peyton West. Dean's List honors went to Andrea Adjei-Frimpong, Princess Baffour, Georgios Karagiannis, Kaitlyn Mooney, Jasmine Ramirez, Juliana Robinshaw, Lucas Salinas, Anthony Santini, Caroline Shinkoff, Amritha Suresh and Roman Tyminski. To be placed on the President's List, students must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.75 and receive grades of C or better. Requirements for the Dean's List is a grade point average of at least 3.0 and no grade below C.

University of Tampa, Tampa FL

  • Emma Nagle, of South Windsor, earned dean's list honors at the University of Tampa for the fall 2024 semester. Nagle is a junior majoring in criminology and criminal justice. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.
