On Campus: Great Achievements By College Students From South Windsor

Assumption University, Worcester MA

• Sean Leary, of South Windsor, Class of 2027, has been named to Sssumption University's Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester. Students named to the Dean's List must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester to be included on the prestigious list, which is announced at the completion of the fall and spring semesters.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• Emmanuel College has named more than 850 students, including three from South Windsor, to the Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester. Local honorees and their majors are Emma Metevier, graphic design; Kailey Migneault, nursing; and Michael Wills, sport management. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Salve Regina University, Newport RI

• Salve Regina President Dr. Kelli J. Armstrong conferred 508 bachelor's degrees, 206 master's degrees,18 doctoral degrees and 11 doctor of nursing practice degrees upon the Class of 2025 at recent commencement exercises. Anthony Bellizzi of South Windsor was awarded a B.S. in accounting degree, and Nicholas Passacantando of South Windsor was awarded a B.A. in psychology degree.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Springfield College has named x students from South Windsor to the dean's list for academic excellence for the 2025 spring semester. Those students and their majors are Evan Carlson, exercise science / applied ES; Riley Donahue, health science; Lyndsay Donston, health science / pre-PT; and Samantha Van Horn, exercise science / applied ES. The criteria for selection to the Dean's List are as follows: The student must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework for the term, exclusive of "P" grades. The student must not have any incompletes or missing grades in the designated term. The student must have a minimum semester grade average of 3.500 for the term. Student must not have been barred from Dean's List due to disciplinary action.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• WPI celebrated its 2025 commencement with a series of ceremonies honoring the achievements of graduates across all degree levels. For the second year, commencement exercises were held at the DCU Center. Degrees were earned by four South Windsor residents: David Szymanczyk, mechanical engineering; Geethika Chandragiri, civil engineering; Nathan Russell, mechanical engineering; and Tanishka Dalavi, computer science.
• Jack Libow of South Windsor, a member of the class of 2026 majoring in biomedical engineering at WPI, was a member of a student team that recently completed a professional-level research-driven project titled "Fabricating Flamenco."
