Crash Causes Vehicle To Roll Over, Catch Fire In South Windsor: SWFD
One person was taken to a hospital following the Sunday night crash on Route 5.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A multi-vehicle crash on Route 5 Sunday night wound up with one car rolling over and catching fire, and its occupant taken to a hospital, according to fire officials.
The crash took place around 9:42 p.m. on John Fitch Boulevard near Governors Highway. First responders reported the lone occupant of the burning vehicle was found outside of it, fire officials said.
"The fire was stubborn and gasoline-fed, and foam was ultimately used to extinguish it," fire officials wrote on social media.

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) responded to the scene. Route 5 was closed in both directions, but has since re-opened, fire officials said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
