Detail Shop Owner Accused Of Keeping Customer's Car, South Windsor Police Say
Police say the man stopped responding to the victim after she asked about her vehicle's whereabouts.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — South Windsor police arrested the owner of a detail shop Monday after he was accused of keeping a customer’s vehicle and using it as his own, according to a police report.
Ryan Viera, 30, was taken into custody on November 24 on an active warrant. Police said the charges stem from a September 2025 incident in which a woman dropped off her vehicle at Groundwork Detailing on Edwin Road for work.

Investigators said Viera did not return the car and stopped answering the victim’s calls asking about its whereabouts. Officers later found him at the business and arrested him, police said.
