Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- Several student leaders and interns at Eastern Connecticut State University's Center for Community Engagement (CCE) are spearheading various outreach programs in Willimantic this semester. The common denominator for each volunteer is personal development through their commitment to community outreach. Among these students is Nicole Leyner of South Windsor, a senior majoring in early childhood education and English. Leyner helps run the Windham Center after-school program and works with Windham Region No Freeze and Windham Recovery Center.

- Jacob Slahtosky of South Windsor received a Master of Business Administration degree from Elms College following the conclusion of the summer 2024 semester. Slahtosky was among 101 students who received their degrees this summer.
Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester NH
- Brandon Couloute and Natalie Petersen, both of South Windsor, were named to the summer 2024 President's List. The summer terms run from May to August. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.
