Major South Windsor Road To Be Closed During Daytime Hours Next Week

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — The majority of Pleasant Valley Road, a major connector between Route 5 and the Buckland area, will be closed to through traffic during daytime hours for a week, beginning Friday.

The road will be closed between Clark Street and Long Hill Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, and daily from Monday, Aug. 26 through Friday, Aug. 30, according to police.

Only emergency vehicles, school buses, service vehicles (mail, deliveries, trash, etc.) and local residents will be allowed through, with one lane open and possibly short delays, police said.
