Pugliese-Gutkowski, Schoenberger: Recent Death Notices From South Windsor

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent death notices from South Windsor.

Marilyn (Krekel) Pugliese-Gutkowski, 87, beloved wife of the late Dr. Thaddeus Gutkowski, M.D. and a cherished resident of South Windsor for 64 years, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025. She enjoyed a fulfilling career as a realtor in the South Windsor area, where she built many lasting friendships and touched numerous lives. She also contributed her time and spirit to the South Windsor Women’s Club, the Human Relations Commission, and the American Cancer Society.

Robert Schoenberger, 92, beloved husband of more than 70 years to Mary Ann (Pirog) Schoenberger, died peacefully at home on May 24, 2025, surrounded by his family. He graduated from Bulkeley High School, then went on to attend a vocational drafting program at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, stationed in Iceland. He established a successful career in industrial welding management and joined the Inglis brothers as a partner at the Lynn Welding Company in 1987., retiring in 1995.
