Serious Crash Closes Part Of Route 5 In South Windsor
A serious motor vehicle accident forced closure of a segment of the busy road while police investigate.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A serious motor vehicle accident on Route 5 has caused closure of the northbound side of the roadway between Pleasant Valley Road and Governor’s Highway, Police Chief Kristian Lindstrom said.
The road was closed around 3 p.m., and could remain so for several hours while police investigate the accident, Lindstrom said.
Detours are in place; however, motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible, according to Lindstrom.
